Check out what some of the artist have said about being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Ozzy Osbourne –

The Prince of Darkness, in an interview with Rolling Stone – “I’m Happy I’m Alive To See This”.
It’s worth noting that Osbourne’s induction comes amidst his ongoing health struggles, as he has largely retreated from live performances due to a series of spinal operations over the past few years. Despite these challenges, Osbourne remains an iconic figure in the world of rock music and continues to inspire fans and musicians alike. We love you Ozzy!
Peter Frampton –
“It’s something that I never expected. It means the world to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you, everybody that voted. Thank you.”

This was not Peter Frampton’s first Rock Hall nomination. In fact, he was eligible for induction since 1997 but didn’t receive his first nomination until the 2024 class of inductees. Despite being eligible for over two decades, Frampton expressed surprise and humility upon receiving the nomination, as he had resigned himself to the idea that it might never happen. His induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 marks a well-deserved recognition of his significant contributions to the world of music.
Mary J. Blige –
“This is beautiful. Amazing. I’m completely caught off guard, and it’s just. Wow. I’m so grateful.”

This was Mary J. Blige’s first nomination for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Blige has have tremendous impact on the music industry, and now she will joining the ranks of fellow inductees like Cher and A Tribe Called Quest.
Foreigner –
Rick Willis –
“At last we’ve made it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. And we’re so happy!”

Al Greenwood –
“Without our fans, this would not have been possible. A sincere thank you.”

Lou Gramm –
“I gotta tell you, we couldn’t be happier”.

Gramm also expressed his satisfaction with the band’s long-awaited induction, stating, “Justice has been done.” However, he’s not thrilled that the band may only be allowed to perform their hit song, “I Want to Know What Love Is,” during the induction ceremony.
Dionne Warwick – on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised by her induction, admitting, “I’ve never considered myself a rock & roller.” Yet, her pop legend status and association with iconic rock acts like The Beatles demonstrate her rock & roll bona fides.
Cher – Her induction is particularly noteworthy, as it comes after she publicly criticized the Rock Hall for never nominating her. In fact, she once said, “I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars.” Well, it seems the Rock Hall has finally acknowledged her immense talent and influence.
Kool & The Gang –
“Woooo we are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.”

The Rock Hall has a long and storied history, with numerous legendary musicians, bands, producers, and other influential figures being inducted over the years. While many deserving artists have been honored, there are still some notable omissions from the Rock Hall’s ranks. For instance, artists like Mariah Carey, Eric B. and Rakim, and Oasis were left out of the induction ceremony, sparking debate among fans and industry professionals.
Ultimately, the Rock Hall’s induction process is subjective and open to interpretation, but it remains a prestigious honor for those who have significantly impacted the world of music.
We were disappointed about Lenny Kravitz not making the cut this time. Lenny, who was first eligible for induction in 2021, had been nominated for the 2024 class but did not receive enough votes to be inducted.
Despite this setback, Lenny has already had a tremendous start to the year, receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and winning the Music Icon award on the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
While it’s unfortunate that he didn’t make it into the Rock Hall this time, there’s always hope that he may be nominated and inducted in the future, giving fans a chance to celebrate his incredible achievements.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for October 19, 2024, at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The event promises to be a star-studded celebration, featuring performances by some of the newly inducted artists, as well as appearances by previous inductees and other special guests.
