Monday night, HANABIE. brought absolute chaos to a sold-out crowd at the House of Blues Chicago, delivering a high-energy performance that blurred the lines between metal, hardcore, and pure theatrical fun. With support from Nekrogoblikon and Enterprise Earth, the night felt less like a typical concert and more like an all-out moshing and crowed surfing like there is no tomorrow.

The evening kicked off with Enterprise Earth, who wasted no time setting up a brutal tone. Their crushing breakdowns and relentless energy pumped the crowd early, drawing in fans with heavy riffs and commanding stage presence. The intensity only escalated, when Nekrogoblikon took the stage. Known for their unique blend of melodic death metal and humor, they delivered a set that was as entertaining as it was heavy. The band’s signature goblin mascot: Jhon Goblikon hyped the audience between songs, turning the pit into a frenzy while keeping the mood light and unpredictable.

By the time HANABIE. hit the stage, you can feel the energy and adrenaline from the crowd. From the first note, the Tokyo-based quartet unleashed a whirlwind of sound and personality. Seamlessly fusing metalcore, hardcore, and J-pop elements, their performance was a masterclass with moshing and crowd surfing to the start till the very end even the security guards were shocked by the absolute power of Hanabie. Vocalist Yukina’s rapid-fire transitions—from guttural screams to upbeat, almost playful melodies—kept the audience on their toes, With the vocals from Matsuri. She also brings in the audience with her voice and headbanging energy while riffing her guitar.

What truly sets HANABIE. apart was their stage presence. Bright, Harajuku-inspired visuals contrasted sharply with their aggressive sound, creating a dynamic that felt both jarring and exhilarating. The crowd fed off that energy, with constant crowd surfing, circle pits, and moshing erupting throughout the set. Despite the intensity, there was a sense of joy and connection that made the performance feel inclusive rather than overwhelming.

The sold-out show at House of Blues Chicago proved that HANABIE. is more than just a rising act—they’re a force redefining what modern metal can look and feel like. Backed by strong performances from Nekrogoblikon and Enterprise Earth, the night stood as a statement to let the world know the diversity and evolution of heavy music, and they are here to take over.

For fans in attendance, it wasn’t just a concert—it was an experience they won’t soon forget.
