Slipknotโ€™s โ€˜Here Comes The Painโ€™ 25th Anniversary Tour roared into New Hampshire this past Wednesday, bringing an unforgettable celebration for their loyal fans, the โ€˜Maggotsโ€™. Despite the passage of a quarter century, the passion for Slipknot and their music remains undimmed.

I arrived shortly after 7 pm, welcomed by perfect weather for such an event. The venue was already alive with music, and it sounded like Orbit Culture was already melting some faces at the BankNH Pavilion. The guys sounded great from a distance, and I look forward to catching them live in the future.

A sea of Slipknot shirts filled the venue as I made my way to the stage, showcasing the fansโ€™ unwavering devotion to their favorite band. Knocked Loose, the next band on the lineup, took the stage to an enthusiastic crowd. The Kentucky hardcore punk band, currently on tour with Slipknot, delivered an intense and powerful performance, that perfectly primed the audience for the main event.

With the stage set and the energy high, Slipknot‘s much-anticipated performance was mere moments awayโ€ฆ

As the anticipation hit its peak, the lights went out and Gary Wrightโ€™s โ€œDream Weaverโ€ began to play. The song played in full, teasing the crowd before โ€œ742617000027โ€ signaled Slipknotโ€™s imminent arrival. The crowds excitement was off the charts.

The band emerged, cloaked in darkness, before launching into powerful renditions of the first three songs from their self-titled debut album – “(sic)“, “Eyeless“, and “Wait and Bleed“. These versions were faster and rawer than the originals, highlighting Slipknotโ€™s undiminished power.

My position upfront meant I felt every bass note reverberate through me, the intensity of the sound almost overwhelming. The crowd surfers posed a constant challenge, and a near-miss almost took me out of the action.

For over an hour and forty-five minutes, Slipknot unleashed a relentless barrage of songs from their first album. The band’s performance was electrifying, blending fan favorites with lesser-known tracks from their self-titled debut. Corey Taylor commanded the stage with fierce charisma, guiding the band through each song with precision and passion.

The sound quality was impressive, especially considering it was an outdoor venue. The production value of the show was top-notch, featuring immersive lighting effects and high-quality sound that engulfed the venue. Slipknot’s iconic masks and costumes add a visual element to their performance that is both striking and memorable.

Overall, the concert was more than just a musical experience; it was a testament to Slipknotโ€™s enduring talent and dedication to their craft. After 25 years, they remain a dominant force in their genre. The event left an indelible mark, an unforgettable spectacle that was as exhilarating as it was intense.
