The Omens Tour hit the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia on September 16th with an impressive lineup. The show began with Suicide Silence, Baroness, and Killswitch Engage, followed by Lamb of God.
Suicide Silence took the stage first. While their set was short, there was no lack of excitement from the crowd! Before the end of the first song, there were already crowd surfers.
Baroness came up next. Being from Georgia, there was a lot of excitement from the band to be playing a show in their home state! Their set was full of head-banging and incredible instrumentation.
Killswitch Engage walked onto the stage for their hour-long set with a humorous version of Van Halen’s song, “Jump,” which would be more appropriately titled “Drunk.” They then followed with a great mixture of songs new and old, as well as an incredible cover of Dio’s “Holy Diver.” At one point during the show, vocalist Jesse Leach hopped off of the stage to interact with fans in the front row! The crowd’s energy during this set was next level and the band absolutely killed it.
The final band to perform was headliner Lamb of God. A kabuki curtain covered the stage as the vocalist Randy Blythe began to sing “Memento Mori”. A blue light backlit him so that he could be seen through the curtain, appearing as something of a ghost. This mysterious opening had the fans screaming with anticipation! The energy was already high, and when the curtain fell, the adrenaline shot through the roof. They played through a pyrotechnic-filled set that was made up of a mixture of their discography. These guys’ stage presence was simply unmatched and their musical performance was insane. They finished up with a fan favorite, “Redneck,” that had the entirety of general admission running in a giant circle pit. After the song was over, they took a few moments to thank the fans and throw out guitar picks and drumsticks! This show was an incredible experience from start to finish.
If The Omens Tour makes its way to your city, be sure to catch it!
