The Paramount in New York turned into a powerhouse of sound and light. Open Mike Eagle opened the night. He commanded the stage with nothing but a mic, his beats, and razor-sharp lyricism. His set was clever, charismatic, and full of personality, blending humor with smart storytelling. It was his first time performing on Long Island. He quickly won over the audience. He set the tone for an unforgettable night.

When Phantogram took the stage, the energy in the room spiked instantly when they opened the show with โ€œFuneral Pyre.โ€ Sarah Barthelโ€™s vocals were precise. They cut through the venue with clarity. Josh Carterโ€™s guitar work drove each song. It gave an electrifying edge to the performance. The duoโ€™s chemistry was undeniable, moving effortlessly across the stage and engaging the crowd with every note. The lighting design amplified the intensity, transforming the space into a pulsing, cinematic experience. The Greenwich, NY multi-instrumentalists are currently touring with their band members Chris Carhart (drummer) and Jonathan Mooney (keys/synth/guitar).

By the time the final notes rang out, the audience was fully locked in, cheering for more (including myself). The two crowd favorites were โ€œBlack Out Daysโ€ and โ€œCruel World.โ€ โ€œYou Don’t Get Me High Anymoreโ€ came in for a close third. Phantogram delivered a dynamic performance. They balanced moody, atmospheric moments with high-energy anthems. This proves once again why they stay one of the most captivating acts in modern alternative music. Open Mike Eagleโ€™s smart and engaging opener made the night complete. The Paramount was buzzing long after the lights came up.
