Reginal Mexican band Fuerza Regida, pulled out all the stops for a SOLD OUT night in Birmingham! This road show celebrates the groupโs rise to fame, their Mexican American roots, and the growing influence of mรบsica Mexicana. Known for blending traditional regional Mexican sounds (distinctly known as banda) with modern urban influences, the group has created and maintained a unique identity in contemporary Latin music. With leg two of the This is our Dream tour, Fuerza Regida brought that identity to the big stage and delivered a performance that combined nostalgia, high-energy production, and a deep connection with their fans.

One of the most impressive things I loved was the tour theme. Rather than running through a list of big songs for fan service, they put on a show designed to take audiences through different stages of their musical journey, with a time-travel-inspired concept that connects the bandโs earlier work with its more recent releases. It shows how much their sound and audience have grown over the years. The visual effects, lighting, and large-scale staging transformed the concert into an immersive experience that feels appropriate for a group reaching new heights in its career. For the relatively new fans (like myself), this was also a fantastic opportunity to be introduced to older songs that came out at times when things may have been a bit busy in life (such as me graduating high school the year their album En Vivo Puros Corridos was releasedโฆand now I feel old).
The setlist was another highlight of the night, and everyone in attendance enjoyed it. With a vast selection of tracks spanning the bandโs catalog, the performance offered something for OGs from 2018 to this year’s newbies. Bangers like โMarlboro Rojo,โ โYa Se Fue Manuel,โ and โEl Dinero Los Cambiรณโ pay homage to their corrido roots and the stories that helped build their reputation. Paired with the dance vibes of โSABOR FRESA,โ โChula Vente,โ and โNEL,โ it reached a point where you didn’t even have to tell the crowd to start dancing or get into the music; they just did. By blending these styles, the group showcases its versatility while showing how its sound continues to evolve.
No matter the band, however, group connections are a must, and frontman Jesรบs Ortiz Paz, widely known as JOP, understood the assignment with the audience, remaining central to the bandโs identity. His presence embodies the confidence and determination Fuerza Regida is known for. The groupโs appeal comes not only from its songs but also from the attitude and personality behind them. On a stage of this scale, that identity becomes even more significant. The performance presents Fuerza Regida as a group that understands where it came from while confidently embracing where it is going. Their music resonates with listeners who recognize aspects of their own lives, backgrounds, and aspirations in its lyrics. For many, the show goes beyond live entertainment, serving as a platform to celebrate cultural identity as mรบsica Mexicana takes center stage. Through singalongs and crowd engagement (such as JOP shouting out a birthday in the house!), the show reinforces the sense of community live music can create.

At the end of the day, Fuerza Regida isn’t trying to recreate banda or corridos in their musical journey. Instead, they are building a concert experience that directly reflects those influences and their audience’s expectations. Ultimately, This Is Our Dream Tour represents an important moment in the band’s career. Through its setlist, energetic production, and celebraciรณn de la cultura, this leg shows why Fuerza Regida is (as of 10/14/26) #1 and #4 on the Billboard Top Regional Mexican Albums and #4 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums. The concertโs greatest achievement is connecting musical growth with cultural pride, reminding audiences that success doesn’t require abandoning oneโs roots. More than a showcase of popular songs, the tour is a statement of ambition, identity, and possibilityโand a reminder that the band’s dream keeps growing.
