Tuesday night, March 8th, Felly’s “Rush of the Road” tour hit the Middle East Nightclub in Boston Mass. Accompanied on tour by a few of his close friends including his Dj Sol Was, rapper Gyyps, who was lending a hand on drums on tour, and with special guest, the UK singer, Oliver Malcolm as an opener, packed the Boston nightclub.

Oliver Malcolm was already doing a great job of hyping up tonight’s young crowd when I arrived, and would definitely make a great first impression. Gyyps took the stage next and played a couple of songs to keep up the energy level, but the crowd would not need a lot of help tonight and erupted when Felly finally took the stage.

He opened for his fans here in Boston with “Still Young”, leading into “Come On”. Tonight his setlist would be filled with nothing but fan favorites, including his collaboration with Carlos Santana; “Heartstrings” – which he played next.

Other songs like “So you fell in love”, “Desert Eagle”, and “Fresh Water”, had the crowd singing right along with him also. But the singing would be something all too common tonight; as the crowd would accompany him for most of the night.

Sometimes it’s just the little things that a performer does that make you feel like you’re part of the music and not just another show. Like during his song “Fabrics”; In the part of the song where he says – “Everybody rockin’ plaid we look like lumberjacks”. He replaced the word “Lumberjacks”, with “Boston Mass”, making it that much more special for his fans here in the city.

His set would also include a beautiful cover of Bob Marley‘s, “Is This Love“, which left the crowd wanting more. But for his last one, Felly would choose, “Bones”. His performance of the song was electrifying!

With the crowd chanting his name, Young Fel came out for his encore, and closed tonight with, “Vices”. Felly’s performance tonight at the Middle East was sensational!

It had been an unforgettable night of music, and one that fans would not forget.

What an unforgettable night indeed!
