Crazy Horse is a rock band that was formed in 1969 and has been closely associated with legendary musician Neil Young throughout its history. The band’s original lineup included Danny Whitten, Billy Talbot, and Ralph Molina, with Nils Lofgren joining later on.
Over the years, Crazy Horse has served as Neil Young’s backing band on many of his albums and tours, and their unique sound and style have become an integral part of Young’s music. The band is known for their raw, unfiltered approach to rock and roll, with a sound that’s often described as “garage rock” or “proto-grunge.”

In addition to their work with Neil Young, Crazy Horse has also released several albums of their own, including “Crazy Horse,” “Loose,” and “Left for Dead.” Today, the band continues to tour and perform with Neil Young, with one notable change to the band’s lineup is the addition of Micah Nelson, who will be taking over as the guitarist for Nils Lofgren. Micah is the youngest son of Willie Nelson, and has been exposed to Neil Young’s music for his entire life. He’s excited to join the band and tour with them this summer, calling it a “dream come true.”
